VISIBLE CONTROL
A TUI for everyday work
Status, setup, tools, shell and updates in an interface that works with keyboards, mice and touch-capable terminals.
experimental beta · open source
Mobdesk turns an ARM64 Android phone into a persistent Termux workstation for learning, coding and working wherever you are.
No root · no virtual machine · no heavy graphical desktop
01 / architecture
Android remains the host. Termux is the development environment, where Mobdesk manages your persistent workspace, native tools and SSH.
One native development environment in Termux.
02 / what you get
VISIBLE CONTROL
Status, setup, tools, shell and updates in an interface that works with keyboards, mice and touch-capable terminals.
PERSISTENT
Your workspace and installed Termux tools stay on the phone between sessions.
CONNECTED
Open the same Termux workstation from another computer on a trusted network without moving your projects.
TOOL PROFILES
Native Termux tools for Git, Neovim, tmux, Go, Python, Node.js, C and C++.
03 / first steps
The recommended path uses the published ARM64 binary from releases. You do not need to install Go to get started.

pkg update
pkg install -y curl coreutils
# download the ARM64 release

curl -fL -o mobdesk "$BASE_URL/mobdesk-linux-arm64"
chmod 0755 mobdesk
./mobdesk setup
04 / transparency
Mobdesk is experimental and validation on Android devices is still expanding. It requires ARM64 and Termux from a trusted source; keep storage for Termux, your projects and installed tools. Android may suspend processes, and SSH should stay on trusted networks.
The next computer could be in your hand.
Try Mobdesk, tell us how it behaves on your device and help build a more portable workstation.
